'Artha' Lotus Silk Scarf

₹6,000 - ₹10,000

Lotus silk is one of the rarest fabrics in the world. The scarf features an original artwork from a four-piece series, each depicting a lotus grove outlined in luminous gold. The shifting colours represent the four aims (Puruṣārtha) of human life — Dharma, Artha, Kāma, and Mokṣa — while the lotuses symbolize the Ātmā (Soul/Self), constant and unchanging throughout.

This scarf's artwork is called "Artha". It can be understood better in the context of all four artworks in this series.
Like Dharma, the first artwork is multifaceted, rich with colour and complexity. Artha is expressed through a deep blue background and a golden lotus outline, symbolising wealth and prosperity. In Kāma, the lotus blooms in vibrant colours that reflect passionate desires, while the background turns pure white — emphasising dharma-yukta kāma, or righteous desire. Finally, Mokṣa, represents liberation, where all colour fades to pure white, leaving only the enduring gold lotus — the Soul — unborn, undying, unchanged.
